Fredensborg Palace was built as a country seat for Frederik IV in 1722

Today, the palace is one of the Royal Family’s most used residences outside Copenhagen.

The impressive palace garden is open to visitors year-round, but in July, you can join an exclusive guided tour that takes you inside the royal residence. The tour also includes the Royal Family’s private part of the palace garden, an experience not to be missed!

Fredensborg Palace has one of Scandinavia’s finest Baroque gardens. After extensive renovation, the garden received the prestigious European Heritage Award in recognition of its great beauty and historical significance.
