When you tour the many halls and rooms at Rosenborg Castle, you might get the impression that all the Danish kings from Christian IV to Frederik VII resided here, but that is far from the case.
The four Danish kings Christian IV, Frederik III, Christian V and Frederik IV lived at Rosenborg Castle. The remaining Oldenburg kings each had a room named after them when the castle was converted into a museum during the mid-1800s.
